Update after the Indie Game Fest
Crawling back to Good » Devlog
Features
I’ve put some suggestions and ideas from players we met at the Indie Game Fest into the game:
- pulsing cursor
- pulsing enemies
- health potions have particles with a reference to the player’s health bar, to make them more recognizable for what they are good for
- don’t get damaged when dashing
- dashing must be done in rhythm, too
- enemies only shoot to the beat (unfortunately it’s not really noticeable if they hit you from a greater distance, because the sound effect plays on collision)
- guitar statues can spawn fragments for charging the ultimate ability
- the torch pillars can be hit at the ignition position at the top
- update of the controls overview (you could also ult by pressing the right mouse button)
Bug fixes
Also I fixed some bugs
- created a sprite atlas that hopefully fixes all the tearing between the tiles
- fixed the controller issue that only made it possible to use the right stick if I entered the scene directly, but not from the main menu
Since I won’t have as much time as before I think this will be the last, or at least one of the last updates I make for the game.
It was very fun to meet you all and I thank you very much for your useful feedback!
GLHF!
